EURO2016 Preparations

Its not long to go as we count down to the beginning of Euro2016. In just 14 days time France and Romania will kick off what is shaping up to be a fantastic tournament. It is easily one of the most open European Champions with a number of teams descending on France with the aim of taking home the Henri Delaunay Trophy.

This week each international squad met up as the domestic leagues across Europe finished up. Each manager anxious to start working with the players and hoping all report with a clean bill of health.

The Republic of Ireland soccer team met up at the National Sports Campus which is now their base before all international matches. The atmosphere in the camp seems good as the squad held an open training session in the Aviva, giving a great chance for fans to see their heroes before the leave these shores.

Tonight the Boys In Green will host Holland in one of two warm up matches. This gives players a great opportunity to stake a claim to be included in the squad and to push for a starting place. Martin O’Neill will also have a chance to get a better look at players and work on their game plan.

There is bound to be a fantastic atmosphere in the Aviva Stadium as the momentum builds in what we hope will be a groundbreaking tournament for the Republic Of Ireland.

We will be watching close tonight and wish our performance analysis clients and their head analyst Gerard Dunne the best of luck. We will be working closely with our Sportscode & Hudl clients over the next few weeks to assist them in their tournament preparation. #COYBIG
